Top 5 Food and Drink Apps on Android in Nigeria for Q2 2023

The second quarter of 2023 saw notable activity in the Food and Drink category on the Android platform in Nigeria. According to Sensor Tower, the top 5 apps in this category exhibited varied performance trends in terms of downloads and active users.

Jumia Food: Food Delivery experienced fluctuations in weekly downloads, starting strong with approximately 12.4K downloads at the end of March and peaking at 13.9K in early April. The downloads saw a decline towards the end of the quarter, dropping to 3.3K by late June. Active users followed a similar trend, beginning at around 94.4K in late March, peaking at 98.5K in early April, and then decreasing to 66.9K by the end of June.

MANO food & products delivery showed a steady increase in weekly downloads from 1.5K at the end of March to a peak of 6.3K by the end of June. Active users also saw an upward trend, starting at 7.2K and reaching 12.6K by late June.

Bolt Food: Delivery & Takeaway had a mixed performance in weekly downloads, with highs of 4.8K in early May and lows of 1.3K by the end of June. Active users started at 18K at the end of March, peaked at 21.1K in early May, and then slightly declined to 16.3K by late June.

African Recipes : Offline Food showed a significant drop in weekly downloads from 4.2K at the end of March to just 444 by the end of June. Active users also saw a decline, starting at 10.7K and decreasing to 6.9K by late June.

Chowdeck | Food Delivery had a relatively stable performance in weekly downloads, starting at 706 at the end of March, peaking at 1.6K in early June, and then dropping to 924 by late June. Active users increased from 4K at the end of March to 7K by mid-June, before slightly decreasing to 6.7K by the end of the quarter.
